Colleges And Careers:
Goals For The Day:
1.) Which careers receive the most income?
2.) What colleges provide the most support for specific careers?
3.) What specific careers are both fun and beneficial?
Useful Links:
1.) Link #1 is here. This website is very useful to apply and to list the top 10 highest paying jobs currently in the U.S. Currently, the highest paying job in the state are doctors and surgeons, followed by dentists and orthodontists, and finally by chief executive officers. Training for these high-paying jobs, often insist upon greater training time. For doctors, it would be more around from 11 years, or higher.
2.) Link #2 is here. This website is a college-centered website which specializes in the areas of helping college students achieve college-centered jobs. It also offers up useful career advice from a parent and a student, about the steps that they feel one should take in order to receive greater job opportunities in the future.
3.) Link #3 is here. This link/website is very interesting, and useful to me as well. Because it depicts the college career opportunities on studying for a field of archaeological research as well as development, and uncovering. Since these people are hired by the government they receive substantial annual income. But, when they do see and rediscover a dated artifact or specimen, they end up receiving government money for being placed in a museum.
4.) Link #4 is here. I feel that this website is very useful because it clearly lists out the answers that most students have to ask an archaeology professional. From, how much they get paid, to how much do they travel, even to how long they work. (About 8 hour days).
5.) Link #5 is here. I feel that this is a very useful website if you wish to become a doctor in college. This website will list out, and provide for you, some of the best medical schools in the country in order to make it a much easier decision.
Evidence Of What I Learned:
I learned several things today. Especially on how picking the right career is a lot harder than it looks! If you end up looking for a job that provides you with the most income, but that suits you the most, then visit link #1. It will be sure to set you up! Or if you truly want to get deep and dirty, then stick your hand into archaeology. Although not many of them travel frequently, but they still get to handle useful artifacts! There are so many careers you can choose, and the best part of it is, you have a whole lot of time! But when the decision comes, lets hope you've made a choice. Because when you've found something fun and exciting, lets hope it is as inviting! Colleges can also support you, on your life changing decisions. with some internship credit, to see if this job is for you.
Goals For Next Class:
1.) I hope to learn all about how internship credit can affect your future resume.
Well, that's it for this blog post! Until the next one! Bye!
